Calvin Risk, a Zurich, Switzerland-based company helping artificial intelligence (AI) companies create and manage AI, raised $4M in Seed Funding.
The round was led by Join Capital and seed + speed Ventures.
The company intends to use the funds to expand operations and its development efforts.
Led by CEO and Founder Julian Riebartsch, Calvin Risk is a startup helping companies create and manage AI that is aligned with humanity. Founded in 2022 as an ETH Zurich spin-off, the company is building a platform for governance digitalization and assessing risks associated with AI in commercial use. It creates a transparency, governance and standardization framework for enterprises to manage their AI portfolios, while ensuring that AI remains safe and compliant with ethical standards and impending regulatory requirements.
The company has joined HITS Innovation Garage. This partnership places Calvin Risk in close proximity to Generali’s diverse business units, creating opportunities to explore and develop real-world use cases for its AI governance solutions. Other partners include Lloyds Banking Group, the Audit Research Center (ARC Institute) for third-line defence solutions and others demonstrating market validation across multiple sectors.
