ALM’s Legal Innovation & Technology Awards took place in London yesterday (23 May), with Addleshaw Goddard and DLA Piper the big winners of the day, both taking home three awards.
Hosted by British comedian Stephen Bailey, who did a great job of amusing the lunchtime crowd and presenting the awards, the ceremony celebrated the work of lawyers working in tandem with business services functions such as marketing, business development, finance, IT, project management, operations, PR and recruitment.
The winner of the disruptive technology of the year award was no-code, AI enabled document automation provider Gavel. Excellence in litigation and data science was won by litigation analytics platform Solomonic. The product of the year went to contract review and drafting provider Henchman. And product of the year – AI was won by contract lifecycle management vendor ContractPodAi.
DLA’s three awards were Outstanding Training Innovation at a private practice, Excellence in Litigation Technology, and Future of Legal Services Innovation at a large private practice.
Addleshaw Goddard’s were for Outstanding Marketing, PR and Comms Innovation at a private practice, Innovation in Diversity at a private practice, and the Innovation Trailblazer Award jointly with Michael Kennedy.
