Tata Power Says AI AI Santa in Christmas Ad

A still from the Tata Power AdRediffusion’s AI Design (RAID) Studio has produced a Christmas commercial entirely using AI for Tata Power, demonstrating a fusion of creativity and technology in visual storytelling. The one-minute commercial expands on Tata Power’s "Duniya Apne Hawale" campaign theme of environmental protection by the younger generation, now partnering with Santa Claus. The AI-generated music and meticulously crafted prompts highlight Rediffusion’s innovative approach to advertising.
This project marks a milestone in AI-driven creative campaigns, showcasing the potential of AI in redefining visual storytelling. The commercial’s creation involved careful attention to detail, using AI prompts to achieve specific expressions, lighting, and aesthetics. Even the music was generated using AI.
The resulting video claims to reflect the potential of AI. This innovative approach represents a new benchmark in AI-powered visual storytelling. The Duniya Apne Hawale campaign portrays abuse inflicted on Earth until children intervene. This Christmas film extends that concept, showing youth protecting the planet alongside Santa Claus.
The RAID Studio team prioritised achieving the desired visual outcome through precise AI prompts. These prompts were essential for achieving the desired expressions, lighting, and overall visual aesthetics in the video.
“The RAID Studio team is leading the charge in integrating AI into creative workflows, enabling faster, more agile solutions while maintaining high-quality standards. This project underscores the transformative power of AI in elevating creativity and delivering compelling narratives,” says Pramod Sharma, national creative director of Rediffusion.

The agency sees this as a way to deliver agile and technologically advanced solutions. This Tata Power commercial highlights the potential of AI in transforming creative workflows and enhancing storytelling, said a media statement.
“The Tata Power Christmas commercial took us a lot of effort and learning. Getting Indian skin tones right is actually tougher than it seems. AI is still WIP but despite the challenges and imperfections, we today have technology that is magical,” said Neilloy Chakravarty, head of RAID Studio.
“We have at least three more client commercials in AI that we will release before the New Year,” says Carol Goyal, executive director of Rediffusion.
