Legal AI is a vast encompassing stream which provides advanced tools and technologies to aid legal professionals as well as AI engineers. This paper explores the implementation of AI in legal field, exploring its possible applications to aid legal professionals and also government departments such as the collectorate and police in India. AI significantly improves efficiency in legal and government justice delivery system by assisting in filing applications, putting facts in legal context, predicting outcomes and automating mundane tasks, thus providing substantial support to litigants and citizens by improving access to legal remedies. However, the consideration of limitations and precautions, including the risks of AI hallucinations and the need for accuracy and customization in different legal contexts, cannot be ignored. The paper also discusses the suitability of various AI models like ChatGPT, Gemini, Copilot, and LLaMA for different legal use cases based on their technical architecture. Careful implementation and oversight, along with domain expertise can ensure that AI significantly improves the justice delivery system, making it more efficient and accessible.
