EXCLUSIVE: Bosses at the likes of Roku and Rakuten will take to the stage at next month’s MIPCOM Cannes as part of a series of global streamer talks.
The talks are being grouped within a MIP Innovation Lab, which will bring together the Global Fast & AVoD strand, a Connected TV Summit and Applied AI Summit.
Evan Shapiro, analyst and self-styled media cartographer, is hosting the global streamer talks that will feature Roku content boss David Eilenberg and Rakuten CEO Cédric Dufour.
Others to feature as part of the sessions, which will take place Tuesday October 22 from 9 a.m. CET (12 a.m. PT), are TF1 Deputy GM Claire Basini, Euronews Chief Business Officer Maxime Carboni and Justin Sampson, who runs UK ratings body Barb.
The global streamer talks synopsis reads: “Join Evan Shapiro for a series of interviews with leaders from streaming and digital platforms – how they are tackling market challenges, navigating innovative strategies, and forming effective collaborations.”
In recent years, MIPCOM has chosen to group certain sessions around broad themes including in areas like FAST and AI.
MIPCOM Cannes, now into its 40th year, is taking place October 21 to 24 this year. Previously announced keynotes include Sony Pictures Entertainment CEO Tony Vinciquerra and Paramount Chief Content Licensing Officer Dan Cohen.
