In their rush to predict and prevent AI harms, regulators may be overstepping in a way that stalls innovation and puts the U.S. at a disadvantage in its arms race with China for dominance in the emerging field, former Secretary of State Condoleeza Rice said Thursday.
Rice spoke at a workshop hosted by Stanford University and the U.S. Department of Justice’s Antitrust Division on promoting competition in AI.
