How to access ChatGPT 4 and DALL E 3 on your smartphone for free

Microsoft’s Copilot chatbot and artificial intelligence (AI) assistant are now available on both iOS and Android phones. Formerly known as Bing Chat, Copilot is the updated and revamped version designed to help users by providing real-time intelligent assistance with information or image creation through AI, aiming to enhance productivity, creativity, and skills.

Microsoft Copilot is a chatbot that uses a large language model to help you with various tasks and queries. It was initially launched by Microsoft on February 7, 2023, as a built-in feature for Microsoft Bing and Microsoft Edge. However, the platform is now available for users as a dedicated app that can be downloaded from the Google Play Store for Android phones and tablets or Apple’s App Store for iOS and iPad devices. The app grants direct access to Microsoft Copilot and functions similarly to OpenAI’s ChatGPT mobile app.

How Copilot can help you
Microsoft Copilot is a free app that works like ChatGPT, but with more features and power. You can use this AI chatbot for anything. From writing emails, making summaries, and even creating pictures with DALL-E3, a text-to-image tool. Copilot also lets you use GPT-4, the newest and most advanced language model from OpenAI, without paying anything. ChatGPT only gives you GPT-3.5 for free.

How to use Copilot app on smartphone
To use Copilot app on your Android phone or iPhone follow these steps:
Download the app from the Google Play Store or App Store.
Tap on the app icon and read the terms of use and privacy statement.
Once downloaded and after agreeing to the permissions, sign in to Copilot using your Microsoft account.
Similar to how you provide prompts in ChatGPT or Bard, you can give text prompts to ask queries from Copilot.
If you want to try the image creator powered by DALL-E, you can upload or take a photo. Tap on the camera icon and give a related prompt to Copilot.
Additionally, if you want to change the tone of the chatbot, tap on the three dots and choose between balanced, creative, or precise.
In addition to its standalone application, Copilot is also seamlessly integrated into Office 365, providing users with the benefits of AI across Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and all other Office applications. Users can also configure Copilot for Business Chat, allowing it to assist with the organisation of contacts, meeting schedules, documents, and various tasks.

Furthermore, Copilot is conveniently accessible on the desktop through its dedicated domain, copilot.microsoft.com. With this Micrsfot is ensuring its AI bot is available on a diverse range of devices, including Windows computers, Macs, iPhones, and Android smartphones.

However, the question of how long Copilot will remain free is still uncertain. Microsoft’s approach to introducing the app is similar to OpenAI. The latter initially provided ChatGPT for free and later rolled out an app. Subsequently, the company introduced a more powerful and real-time dedicated GPT-4 version for a paid subscription. So, following its OpenAI, Microsoft might also end up introducing its own subscription plan for Copilot.

Meanwhile, in addition to focusing on its dedicated AI app, Microsoft is also working on more AI-powered upgrades across its offerings. Recently, the Washington-based tech giant has rebranded its internet browser as "AI Browser" on the app stores. The new name for Microsoft Edge, i.e., "Microsoft Edge: AI Browser," can currently be seen in Apple’s App Store, and the company is also highlighting all its AI-powered features. After this rebranding, which marks a significant change for the browser, Microsoft is making another big push towards AI updates.
